1 ¾ C all purpose flour
2/3 C sugar
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
1 C mashed rip banana
1/3 C shortening, margarine, or butter
2 tbsp milk
2 eggs
¼ C chopped nuts
Heat oven to 350. Combine 1 cup flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in large mixer bowl. Add mashed banana shortening margarine and milk. Beat with electric mixer on low speed until blended, then on high speed for 2 minutes. Add eggs and remaining flour, beat until blended. Stir in nuts.
Pour into greased 8x4x2 inch loaf pan and bake at 350 for 55-60 minutes.
