2 pkgs yeast
½ C water
½ C scalded milk cooled to luke warm
½ C sugar
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
½ C soft butter
41/2-5 C flour
1 tbsp orange peel
Filling/topping-
3 tbsp soft butter
1 tbsp range peel
2 tbsp orange juice
1 ½ C powdered sugar
Scald milk. Put milk in sauce pan over medium high heat, let milk come to boil around the edges not quite through the middle. Let cool to 105. Dissolve yeast in water. Add sugar, salt, eggs, butter, milk, and 2 ½ C flour beat until smooth. Add 2 more cups flour and up to ½ C more. Knead 4-5 min. cover double and let rise 1 ½-2 hours, punchdown. Roll out to 12x7 put half of filling inside. Let rise again 45 min to 1 hour. Bake 375 for 12-15 min, tope with the other half of the filling.
